What does Coca Cola Clothing say to you

People wear logo clothing in general because they like being associated with the company or product that the logo represents for one reason or another. Recently I was curious as to the different reasons that people would wear Coca-Cola clothing in particular. If the clothing we wear is an expression of our personality, just what are you saying when you wear Coca-Cola clothing?

The Coke brand is certainly known worldwide and has in fact even made it to the moon, but something told me that is not the reason that people have Coca-Cola clothing in their wardrobe. So I set about to find out.

It reminds me of when
The first young lady that I questioned was looking at a display of miscellaneous Coca-Cola collectible merchandise including Coke clothing items. She told me the following story when I asked her why she was considering the purchase:
"Some of my most vivid childhood memories include Coca-Cola. There was a little roadside shack in New York where I grew up that served some of the best steamed clams and grilled hamburgers and hot dogs around and my parents used to take me there in the summers as far back as I can remember. I couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 when I was allowed to go inside by myself and open the cooler and get my own Coke in a bottle, the real glass bottle, and open it on the bottle cap opener mounted to the door that I could just about reach. I was even allowed to drink it right out of the bottle. It made me feel like a big girl and I've loved Coke, especially in a glass bottle, ever since. Afterwards we would go to the beach and walk by the water. I still go back and visit that shack whenever I go to NY how could I not love Coca-Cola with those kind of memories? So I guess that's why I'd wear a Coca-Cola sweatshirt or tank top, because it reminds me of special times."

Coca-Cola says America
The next people I talked to were an older couple visiting from England. "We wanted something absolutely American to take back as gifts, and to us, Coca-Cola clothing is the perfect thing, to me a Coke t-shirt really says USA. I remember back during the war when I was a child seeing the American troops drinking Coke, one of them even gave me one once and I kept the bottle for a long time. I was fascinated by the American soldiers and everything American that I could learn about, so Coca-Cola and America go hand in hand for me."

It's always been there
A young man was eyeing a Coca-Cola jacket and told me that he doesn't even really drink a lot of Coke these days but that it's almost a comfort to him when he does and that just seeing the logo will make him smile. "It's always been there as far back as I can remember, Coke, that is. We outgrow so many of the things from our youth, but Coca-Cola is a brand that seems to carry through our lives, even if we're not drinking it ourselves, it's all around us, part of our culture in a way. Things change, that's one thing that you come to learn in life, so it's nice to have things that for the most part stay the same."

And so it seems that although the reasons vary widely and the stories span many generations as to why these folks are drawn to Coca-Cola clothing, one common theme is that Coca-Cola was and continues to be a part of people's lives in subtle, yet emotionally powerful ways. It seems that the marketing folks who coined the phrase "Have a Coke and a Smile" definitely knew what they were talking about.

PERFECT PACKING FOR WOMEN

PERFECT PACKING FOR WOMEN Maxine Greco

There has been many articles written on packing luggage. My own mother taught me to pack with tissue paper between all of your articles of clothing. That would be totally impractical today with the weight restrictions on baggage. You want to fill your suitcase with clothing, not with paperThe new upright wheeling luggage has its own restrictions on packing. It requires a different method of layering your clothing. I always begin with underwear on the bottom against the "bars" which are actually the pull up handle underneath the lining. This evens out the bottom of the case for the next layer of clothing.

It simplifies things to plan what I'll be wearing in advance. I have everything on a thin wire hanger that comes from the dry cleaners. These are the lightest weight hangers and will take up the least amount of room in the suitcase. The blouse goes on the hanger first, followed by the slacks underneath and the jacket on top. If there's a pin that matches the suit, pin it to the lapel. Then I put 3 hangers in the suitcase with the hanger beginning at the short end. And then 3 more hangers beginning at the opposite end. I continue packing like that until all of my clothing on hangers is in the case. Then I neatly fold one layer over from one end, and then the next layer over from the other end. The hangers stay at opposite ends with the clothing folded into the middle. If done properly, your clothing will have only one soft crease where it has been folded. Then I add pajamas rolled up to fit around the perimeter or in any empty spaces. Then I place my shoes in shoe mittens or shoe covers and place them around the perimeter. Remember not to bring too many pairs of shoes because of the weight limit imposed on luggage by the airlines. I also try to bring one neutral colored shawl or sweater that will match most of the clothing I've packed and I throw in a small travel umbrella.

When I unpack everything is ready to hang and rarely does anything require ironing. As anyone who has traveled knows, there are never enough hangers in any hotel room. I also carry a portable steamer, just in case there is some wrinkling. The new steamers are small, use tap water from any country, and are dual voltage, so they can be used virtually anywhere.

I never pack spray bottles or cans in my luggage. I prefer to put anything that can damage my clothing in my carryon bag. That includes creams, lotions, sprays, shampoos and perfumes. Baggage is not pressurized and will loosen even the tightest closed containers. A plastic closure bag or waterproof bag helps, but damage has been known to occur, so I always play it safe by putting that type of item in my carryon bag. Most hotels today have hair dryers, but if you are used to a more powerful dryer, you might want to bring a travel model with you. Some hotels have coffee machines and others do not. If coffee is important first thing in the morning or evening, check out the small travel models.

Perfect packing takes time and experience - you'll soon learn what items you can do without and the ones that make your trip most pleasant.

How To Buy Art Online

How to buy art online

Just a few years ago it seemed people thought the idea of purchasing "clothing" through the internet was absurd. How would you know if it fits? What if it doesn't fit? What if my credit card number gets stolen? Those were just a few of the many questions I personally had five or so years ago. Hopefully this article will help enlighten some of your inquiries.

The internet has significantly changed the art market. Significantly, meaning people now have choices at their fingertips. The sometimes intimidating and cold art galleries, is now an option. With many art websites offering money back guarantees, secure shopping and customer support, people do not have to feel as though purchasing anything off the site is Russian roulette.

Here are some hints and tips I feel might be useful:

Search and Search Some More: Without the hassles of walking/driving from one gallery to another and limiting gallery hours you have more time at your disposal to do your research. You will have the ability to view hundreds of artworks within the average time someone will be able to see a dozen by actually going to a gallery. For me that means a greater chance to find a new painting I will fall in love with.

Take your Time: Yes buying off the internet is far from perfect so follow your heart and take your time. Send the image to your friends, research the artist and take advantage of the many gallery website features available at your disposal, such as "view-to-scale, background colors, zoom, etc". Ask questions if you want by emailing the website and also you can compare shop. Remember if you like one artwork and its too expensive for your taste or pocketbook there is surely another painting that is similar and can fit your budget.

Protect Yourself: Read up on the website. Find out how long its been in business. See if the website provides secure shopping and secured online purchases. Read about what the customers and any articles have to say about the website and its artists. Check if the artwork will come with an authentication that you feel comfortable with and find out if they have a return policy that you find reasonable. When you have done your homework, buy the artwork and enjoy your new artwork purchased through the future of art shopping with confidence.

Fabric Softener for Baby Clothing

It is indeed daunting to realize that once a baby arrives, not only does your laundry chore doubles, but you need to make arrangements to shield off the tender skin of our baby from harsh clothes. Fabric softeners for baby clothing then becomes a necessity.

It may be reassuring to know it is not always necessary to use a baby detergent for your baby's clothes. Because a baby detergent does not always get rid of stains and odors on your baby's clothing as you'd like, it may be better you switch to some other detergent.

Switching on to fabric softener

Before switching to a fabric softener, make sure to test one article of clothing first. Unless your baby has allergies, eczema, atopic dermatitis, or other conditions affecting your baby's sensitive skin, liquid detergents meant exclusively for babies are your best bet because they work for all types of clothes. But if there seems to be some irritation, you can still try using a fabric softener detergent that does not contain colors or fragrances.

Why Fabric Softeners?

Better than an ordinary baby detergent that only washes because they come with choices to meet the need of your baby's sensitive skin. Fabric softeners come in two types: sheets and liquids; they also come in scented as well as fragrance-free options.
Fabric softeners give fabrics a softer feel and help reduce static cling (particularly useful for synthetics and permanent press items).
They are designed to make clothes feel softer and smoother, and at the same time reduce wrinkles in clothing and mitigate the need to iron.

How to Use Fabric Softeners

Liquid fabric softeners: Add liquid fabric softener during your washing machine's final rinse cycle for enhanced softening. Make sure there is water in the machine when you add the softener; however, avoid overfilling the washing machine. Staining may result if a fabric softener is poured directly on the clothes. And most importantly, keep your baby's fabric softener in an environment where it will not freeze; freezing leads to thickening of the liquid fabric softener.
Fabric softener sheets: While using sheets, it is always advisable to add them just before you start your drier. The drier's heat activates the softening properties of fabric softener sheets. Staining might result if you allow a fabric sheet to sit in a wet load of clothing.

Remember to avoid washing your little one's clothes with the rest of the family's clothes; the harsh detergents are likely to irritate your baby's skin (most common of them, diaper rash). All said, remember to always read the manufacturer's instructions and follow them; also look for any special cleaning instructions that may appear on the labels of your baby's clothing. Following these will ensure soft, fluffy clothes for your baby's comfort.

How to Start a Clothing Store

So you want to break out of the day to day grind and start a business of your own. Congratulations! You are taking the first step towards a better life. It's important to maintain financial stability as we all know, but those that can do so while doing something they love are particularly fortunate and that is a fortune that doesn't just come on a whim but is reached through perseverance and choice.

Knowing what you want is the first choice that leads to bigger and better things.

Many different options for opening a small business exist, and all of them have their pros and cons. Of concern here is the opening of a small clothing store or boutique. There are several concerns that must be addressed by someone wanting to open any kind of boutique, and a clothing store must face these same concerns and then others that are specific to clothing lines and merchandise selection. The questions that a new clothing store owner must answer include the following:

What kind of clothing will I carry?
What sizes and colors do I need to address?
Where will I purchase my merchandise from?
How will I display my merchandise?
How can I build my customer base and return business?

What kind of clothing will I carry?

Once you know that you want to open a clothing store you will need to define what type of clothing you want to carry and what audience you are wanting to appeal to. The requirements for a shop catering to the exercise clothing needs of women from the ages of 20 to 40 are going to be very different from the needs of a outdoor apparel shop for men interesting in hunting and backpacking. In order to best meet the needs of your specific audience you will need to do some research for what clothing items appeals to those needs. We'll take the example of exercise clothing for women. The following clothing pieces, at minimum, would need to be included in the business plan:

Sports bras
Sports shirts
Tank tops
Sports shorts
Sports pants
Athletic shoes
Headbands and wristbands

What sizes and colors do I need to address?

Having narrowed down the type of clothing you need you will then want to consider what kinds of styles, fabrics and colors that you wish to carry. Write all of these down in your business plan. At first you will want to keep this scope narrow as your finances will not be able to cover every color and style that is possible. Your lines will be able to expand as your shop grows in size and revenue. Most shops that do well can expect approximately a 15% increase per year for at least the first five years and that will open up many possibilities for expansion as you go. When making purchases many manufacturers will push for you to purchase at least four pieces per size and per color. Four pieces is fairly reasonable as long as you keep the number of colors and sizes in check. If you are pressured to purchase six do not do so as it will be far more merchandise than you can turn over swiftly.

As far as sizes are concerned most sizing for tops runs in Petite to Extra Large, and pants from size 0-14. If you need to acquire sizes that are outside of these typical ranges you will have to meet with manufacturers that specialize in over or undersized clothing. You should plan to bring in several sizes per cut or style of clothing.

Where will I purchase my merchandise from?

Before you begin purchasing merchandise you will want to acquire your small business license and wholesale license. These licenses will open the door to merchandisers that otherwise you would not be able to make purchases from. It is vital that your own purchasing be at the lowest rates possible so that the merchandise in your clothing store can be kept at a reasonable price for your customers. Too much mark up in order to make up for high purchasing prices will keep clothing from selling and be detrimental to your business.

Much of your purchasing can be done from local sources if such exist. You will need to do some research of what exits in your area in order to know what your resources are. Get on the local manufacturer's mailing lists so you can know about new lines when they come out and be involved in sales and discounts.

At least quarterly you will want to make large shopping trips where you will purchase most of your inventory for a three month period. These trips will likely require going out of your home area and attending a show or a market in a major city. Such shows run at various times of the year and in a few places, such as Los Angeles, there are markets that are open for purchasing year round. Remember to budget the cost for getting to one of these events in your financial plan, and make the most of your trip. Take time to look at everything you can and to compare and contrast merchandise and pricing. Many sales representatives will try to get you to place orders on the spot. Stand firm and be the one driving the deals. Manufacturers want your business, but you decide what will be purchased and when you will purchase it.

How can I build my customer base and return business?

Building a customer base is one of the hardest thing that any clothing store or boutique faces, especially in the early days of the business. Be confident that you will succeed and make sure that you, and your employees, are friendly and knowledgeable. This will help to make your customers feel confident in their purchasing experience and in your store. When you first open throw a grand opening party and advertise with a small space in local papers and fliers. Have those that attend write their name and contact information on slips of paper for a raffle and use these to create a mailing list. Keep the mailing list active and invite any new customer to sign up with you. Those that have such lists find that about 20% of their mailing list generates nearly 80% of their business, impressive numbers and a good impetus to grow that list as much as possible. Most importantly remember that word of mouth is your strongest advertising. For every customer that has a good experience two or three more will be directed to your shop. On the other hand each customer that has a bad experience will drive away just as much business. The power to bring people in and to help your business expand is in your hands.

Wholesale Hip Hop Fashion and Clothing

Beginning in the 1970s Hip Hop fashion has gone from a fringe cultural group a fast moving fashion trend, particularly in the United States. The greatest popularity of such fashions tends to be along the coasts and in the larger cities. Hip Hop fashion is traced to the African American community but has quickly spread into being a universal clothing style for people of many ethnicities and genders and a mainstay of Hip Hop culture.

Generally Hip Hop clothing, retail or wholesale, is broken into two groups, classic and modern styles. The classic styles are those that were popularized in the 1970s to late 1980s. Modern styles come from the very late eighties, nineties and after 2000.

Classic Hip Hop clothing includes large glasses and sunglasses, multi-finger rings, multiple gold necklaces, and various brand tennis shoes with oversized laces. Hairstyles at this time took on a strong African American influence. These styles included tight jheri curls and dreadlocks as well as closer cut and shaped styles. Red-black-and-green was a common color pallet, sizing towards being baggy and overlarge, which continued into more modern Hip Hop styles. This time period was one of establishing the Hip Hop movement and modern Hip Hop clothing and culture owes its success to these roots.

The more modern style Hip Hop was much affected by musical artists and actors who made popular the wearing of brilliant colors, often neon, and wearing usual clothing items, baseball hats and even condoms, in unusual ways. Some went as far as to wear their clothing backwards. As the year 2000 dawned, and highly influenced by the remake of Scarface Hip Hop clothing styles took on an influence from street thugs and prison inmates. These styles included over sized clothing, large pocketed pants without a belt and military accents in shoes and jackets. Other marks of this change of trend were flannel over shirts, hoodies and gold teeth, or at least gold fixtures.

Currently many places exist where Hip Hop clothing can be acquired. Some of the simplest pieces may come from the corner thrift shop or flea market, but as the Hip Hop style has progressed in complexity these pieces have been picked up by many big markets, charging a big dollar and opening a huge marketplace for wholesale Hip Hop clothing options. In order to push back against this trend online websites such as urbanhotlist.com have sprung up, offering discounted brands and a places to fill many needs at once.

Many advantages and disadvantages exist when it comes to working with an online sales site, like urbanhotlist.com. Very often there is access to a much broader base of merchandise. The ability for bulk ordering allows the prices of wholesale Hip Hop clothing to be kept very reasonable even after adding the extra charges for shipping and handling.

For those above-mentioned reasons websites like urbanhotlist.com have become rather popular and continue to grow with each month. This is particularly of concern when the merchandise in question is something that requires sizing, such as the clothing lines that have been spoken about here. Fortunately many wholesale Hip Hop styles aren't fitted, preferring an oversized fit, which addresses many of the sizing concerns, but make sure that any place you are purchasing such items has a returns policy if something arrives damaged or in the wrong size.

No matter whether you prefer the early Hip Hop clothing or more modern choices there are many options for getting the wholesale clothing pieces you want. One thing, however, is for sure. Hip Hop is here to stay.

How to Save Money on Clothing Online

Looking for the latest fashions and cool looking clothing, but don't want to spend an arm and a leg? Then you should shop online - when you shop online, you are able to look at many different items without leaving the house, and you can also compare prices on different pieces that you like.

Here is how you can save money, while still getting cool clothes:

- Always go for the classical pieces. When you have a choice between buying a more classical piece, or a more seasonal piece, go for the classical one. You will be able to wear the classical one for a longer time, thus, saving money.

You can definitely get stylish and cool items for the season, but make sure you get them at a discount, and make sure they are smaller items - tops, blouses, etc - something that you will not be sad not be able to wear next season.

- Shop way before, or after the season has started. Everyone usually wants to buy new clothing right as a particular season is starting, so it is hard to find good deals at that time.

Instead, shop before the season starts - it is easier to find discounts before everyone is looking for clothes for a particular season.

Or, shop at the end of the season - this is when everything from the season should be sold, and this is when you can typically find the best deals on clothes.

- Look at the clearance racks and sections. Many online stores have clearance sections on their web sites - this is where they put merchandise at deep discounts. Always look there,
before making a buying decision - you might find what you are looking for, but at a much better price.

Different stores name their clearance sections differently, so check sales section, or clearance section, or clearance rack, whatever the discount section is called at that online store.

You can save a lot of money on clothing online. Sometimes you can even get discounts on designer clothing that cost much more at other stores. Make sure you shop around a bit, look at clearance sections and buy more classical pieces in order to save money.

Your Wardrobe Your Life

Have you ever been clothes shopping, or worn clothes? Just kidding Ok, this applies to you, please read on.

Remember that time when you saw an item of clothing on the rack or shop window and decided to try it on. And having tried it on, there was something about it which was not quite right, not quite you. Maybe it was a bit tight on the shoulders, sleeves were a bit too long. Maybe the colour wasn't your best. But even with all that, did you go ahead and buy it anyway? Maybe it itched but it looked fantastic, and besides what's a little discomfort to look this good?

So, where is the item of clothing now? Is it at the back of the wardrobe, still unworn, not seeing the light of day. Have a look through the contents of your wardrobe. Is there anything else in there which no longer fits? Is a bit old? Too small? Too big? Or you have just plain gotten tired of? Perhaps there are clothes in your wardrobe that are old favourites, soo comfy but shabby, worn and out of date? While they're comfy, they stop you from looking your absolute best keep you from shining? Or perhaps you have clothes in your wardrobe that you didn't choose. Someone else chose them for you, and you may be wearing them anyway to please the buyer.

If any of the above got you nodding and saying yes, take a long hard look at the contents of your wardrobe again. Now, how many areas of your life are there that don't quite fit, you have grown out of, don't suit you any more but you haven't noticed? Are there areas of your life that you have put to the back of your mind, and haven't sent the light of day or clear thought? Are there areas of your life that you didn't choose, someone else chose for you and you are putting up with the results? Are there areas in your life where you are indeed comfortable, but you no longer shine, you are in a bit of a rut, and it may be time to move on a little. Perhaps there is an area of your life that itches a little, it has some discomfort, but it looks so goood?

Often the little choices we make in our clothes shopping and wardrobe contents are reflected in our bigger choices and in our lives.

"So what?" I hear you say. Well, if you are totally happy with your wardrobe contents and your life, then leave well alone.
But, if there are clothes and parts of your life that itch, are uncomfortable, look shabby and out of date or that you didn't choose. Maybe it is indeed time to look at your choices and decisions.

First up, an easy action. Get a couple of bin liners, and clear out your wardrobe, all the old shabbies, tight fittings, or too bigs straight into the bin bags. Go on. Surprise your favourite charity with some extra donations.

Now, notice that even though there may be less in your wardrobe how much more space is in there. All your choices fit, and even better they make you look your best. In fact, you have even more choices now with fewer clothes. How does that work?

Once you have cleaned out your wardrobe, and seen how easy it is to get more choices. Get a sheet of paper and make a list of all the areas of your life that itch, don't fit and are uncomfortable. Make a separate list of the areas of your life you did not choose and are putting up with. Finally make a list of things in your life which are out of date and it is time to clear out. This list may include jobs, items, knick knacks, thoughts, feelings, people who you do not want to stay in touch with or habits.

Once these lists are done, you can make some decisions. Look carefully at each item you have listed and ask yourself honestly do you want to change? If yes, then it is time to get a strategy together to move on. If you can do this yourself go ahead. It is easier with support and help from a good friend or a coach to assist and add clarity.

Take small steps initially. Start with the simple areas of your life you want to clean out. Then with confidence move on to the bigger areas. Recognise and celebrate each success and see your choices grow with each step.

Tick off each item on your lists and see the changes. Now you have more space and choices in both your wardrobe and your life Is it time to go shopping?

But how do you know these infant clothing will suit your baby with regards to skin allergies, comfort, diaper changes, safety, practicality and looking good. Follow our tips to find right newborn clothing for your child so you can be sure that you get the quality you pay for. With that in mind, you are likely to find luxury baby clothes of higher quality from designer baby clothes rather than a discount newborn clothing store. This isn't to say that you can't find quality newborn clothing at a discount store. Many points should be considered when a parent is shopping for infant clothing.

Ensure that all the infant clothes are comfortable for you baby by selecting newborn clothing that features wide leg, arm and head openings. Baby clothes should not be too tight or small for a child. Buy a size up to ensure a good fit. All sleepwear is to be flame retardant and should be safe with no strings or buttons that may be hazardous. All newborn clothes should be easy to change in and out of. Crotch snaps make diaper changing fast and easy. Select baby clothes with a button up front to ease stress on the baby from having clothes pulled over their head. Onesies are very practical clothing for babies to wear. These are a one-piece suit from feet to neck and usually feature snap crotches. Avoid clothes with decorations or small buttons, as this can be a choking hazard. Overalls are not a good idea unless they feature snap crotches.

When selecting luxury baby clothes, check what fabric the clothes are made of to ensure the baby clothing is comfortable, flame retardant (when required), warm and won't react with your child's sensitive skin. Several baby clothes retailers are bringing out newborn clothes that are made from organic fabrics that are free from bleaches, pesticides, heavy dyes and feature flame-retardant qualities. This fabric is light and allows skin ventilation to keep the skin at an even body temperature while absorbing body moisture. Merino wool is another natural fabric that can feature no added synthetics or unnatural colours. It is an ideal fabric for newborns and is unlike regular wool. This wool is made with a natural method that doesn't prepare the wool through a chemical process like drenching or scouring. Unlike newborn clothes made from synthetic fibres that may cause overheating, merino wool is an insulating fibre that will keep the body at a constant temperature. Baby clothing with a high absorbency level will keep your baby feeling fresh and dry. A few terms that may feature on baby clothing include Lycra, polyester, cotton flannel, velour, faux fur, swan's down, Jacquard knit, cotton knit, brushed cotton and interlock knit. Lycra is a synthetic fibre that is made from polymer that contains polyurethane that means it is a very stretchy fabric. Polyester is made with synthetic resins and is known for it's strong, light and weather resistant qualities. Brush cotton is a fabric that has been brushed to remove lint and other excess fibres to leave the cotton soft and smooth. Jacquard knit is a pattern knit placed into the fabric while going through the manufacturing process. Velour is a felt fabric very much like velvet. Cotton flannel is a name for cotton that is twilled, heavy and features a long plush nap. Also known as Canton flannel or Swan's down. Faux fur is a fabric that is made to look and feel like animal fur. Interlock knit is a fabric with lots of stretch due to heavily intertwined cotton that will return to the original shape after washing.

Harley Davidson Baby and Childrens Clothing and Accessories

Harley-Davidson enthusiasts have long known what so many more are quickly discovering "Harley-Davidson" is much more than just a famous brand name. It stands for quality, performance, and style. The diverse product line of licensed Harley-Davidson baby and children's clothing, toys, furniture, and accessories is no exception.

The Harley-Davidson line of baby and children's clothing includes items ranging from newborn booties to motorcycle jackets, and clothing for virtually any occasion. Available accessories include items such as head wraps, lunch totes, wallets, backpacks, and diaper bags. What sets these products apart, aside from the licensed brand name, is their quality and attention to detail. Many clothing items are 100% cotton or soft velour and offer a comfortable fit. Common detail elements include embroidered or woven patches featuring the Harley Bar and Shield logo or other Harley designs. Many of the newborn and infants outfits also come complete with a headband (for girl's), hat, or doo rag cap.

The Harley-Davidson line of toys, furniture, and dcor accessories includes items such as rockers, toy storage boxes, stools, and growth charts. Many parents these days are searching for unique products that break away from the common animal and flower themes so prevalent in baby dcor. These Harley products offer parents that alternative. Unfortunately, Harley-Davidson crib bedding is not available as a licensed product, although it has been a common request received at our store (www.TinyTreasuresBaby.com). New products are available each season, so we are keeping our fingers crossed for this one to appear.

These products are not just for the motorcycle or Harley enthusiast. People who have perhaps a mild interest in motorsports or the Harley brand are discovering the quality and style of these products. Many of the customers on our site purchase Harley newborn clothing gift boxes as baby shower gifts for their friends who have some interest in or tie to the motorcycle community.

Do childrens clothes reflect a baby or childs identity

Babies and children are naturally expressive. They use their bodies, their voices, movement, toys, art, imagination, and clothing to reflect who they are. With every decision, children learn more about themselves through their choices of chocolate versus vanilla, pants versus shorts, books versus blocks, and red versus yellow.

Once children are old enough to express their opinion, many kids will experiment with clothing to express their identity and personality. Most adults are familiar with adolescents experimenting with fashion to identify themselves with a peer group or to separate themselves from the crowd. But even at an earlier age, young children are beginning to form their sense of self with something as simple as clothing.

Adults have an important role in purchasing children's clothing and thereby help to define who babies and toddlers are before they can express their own preferences. Most parents and caregivers dress their children in clothing that reflects their own personal beliefs, fashion style, identification with ideals and even moral convictions. For example, a traditional household will dress in traditional clothing and children from these homes often wear smocked rompers, jon jons, and more traditional color choices and styles. On the other end, in a household who considers themselves to be non-conformists, one might find children dressed in punk rock clothing or gothic apparel for babies featuring non-traditional ideas towards childhood.

In the children's apparel industry everything can be seen from traditional children's clothing, punk rock baby clothes, gothic kids' apparel, funky designer clothes, hip hop urban clothes and contemporary unisex clothing. It is essentially up to the adult who dresses young infants and children to begin defining the child through clothing. As children grow, they naturally want to copy the adult role models in their lives and many children dress in the fashions seen on the adults. This natural progression begins to shape the identity of the children as they mimic adult preferences and children observe and learn that clothing is one way to actively assert one's identity either as a boy or girl, a member of a group, or as an individual. Of course, some children are naturally drawn to dressing like Mom or Dad, and others prefer to wear a tutu or pirate costume 24/7. And frankly, other children could care less about wearing any clothing at all! Yes...this is personality in the making!

For the times when adults want to steer children into developing into independent, critical thinking, problem solving adults, it is important to let children begin to express themselves through clothing in a directed manner through color choices, materials, textures, and styles that fit the household definition of "appropriate". Whether a child is drawn to wearing mismatched plaids and prints, only one color or style, or even minimal clothing, when allowed the freedom to decide, children are developing important skills of discrimination, problem solving, and self expression. It may just seem like Sam just wants to wear his red stripe shirt every day, but Sam is really learning about his own preferences, asserting himself, and how clothing can be utilized to identify himself.

While clothing may not be a distinguishing factor in the development of a child's personality, it certainly can subtly teach children about identity and how to express themselves in a safe, natural way. It's up to the adults in a child's life to guide these choices, but by allowing a child to use clothing as a means of self discovery enables important life lessons and skills.

How to Save on Womens Plus Size Clothing

If finding women's plus size clothing is difficult, then finding them at bargain prices is an even greater challenge. To get the best deals on plus size clothes, consider shopping online, at local stores, and through mail-order catalogs. The following are eight strategies for saving money:

- Always use a search engine to look for a coupon code your retailer may have. Many websites actually track these coupon codes along with expiration dates to help shoppers save. When filling out your order form online or in a catalog, look for an entry for "coupon code" or "promo code" and then enter a coupon code that applies. If ordering online, be sure to verify that you have received the discount for entering the coupon code.

- Go to the website of your favorite plus size retailer and sign up to receive e-mail specials. In addition, if the sign-up form offers a print catalog, request the catalog also. By signing up, you will receive notifications through e-mails and catalogs of any specials the retailer may be having. Note that you should sign up only with retailers that really interest you or your mailbox may become crammed with excessive e-mails.

- Visit local stores that carry plus size clothing and browse through their clearance racks. Some local retailers try to quickly rid their racks of excessive inventory to make room for the latest fashion.

- Look for a sale, clearance, or outlet section on the website of your favorite retailer. Occasionally, you can save up to 80% off original prices this way. If your retailer is owned by a parent company, also check the parent company's website for a clearance or outlet section.

- Comparison shop for similar items at different websites. If you plan to wear an item only a few times or occasionally, perhaps you can purchase a similar but cheaper item.

- Buy clothing out-of-season or pre-season. Many retailers will offer steep discounts on out-of-season items.

- Buy machine-washable clothes. The cost of having to dry clean an item will make that item expensive in the long run. If you are not sure whether an item is machine-washable, be sure to ask the retailer before you buy.

- Purchase items that coordinate well with what you already have in your wardrobe in terms of styling and color.

Using the above strategies will help you save on plus size clothing. Dressing well should not have to be an expensive endeavor for the full-figured woman.

Vintage Tee Shirts

Vintage tee shirts have made a huge comeback in the past decade. They have always been a stylishpiece of clothing that let's you express a some creativity or a aspect of your personality. They have now hit the mainstream and many companies are riding a wave of success that this trend has brought to the clothing industry. Small designers like David & Goliath have made a name for themselves and attracted such stores like Nordstroms to sell their original designs. The problem is that these tee shirts aren't the product that started the trend at all. Vintage means that they are old, not something you picked up at a hot new shopping mall.
To really get into vintage, you must make something new out of something that is old. If you don't happen to have a old collection of random shirts there are many places that you can get used clothing and you will save a ton of money as well. A easy place to start is thrift stores like The Salvation Army and Goodwill. They have an extensive amount of old tee shirts that are only a couple of dollars a piece. They also have a good flow of incoming merchandise, so you can check back frequently for new arrivals. It is key to find something very outdated so that it is obvious that you some how got the shirt from a friend or relative. Local elections and celebration are great. If you are male, it is also great to find female geared shirts like Girl Scouts or Weight Watchers because they are very obviously not yours. Another great source for similar shirts are garage sales. Selection is very limited here, but there can be some true gems like previous employment shirts that may have a name that is monogramed on to the shirt.
Buying shirts at such a discout price also opens you up to a business opportunity that many people are trying to take advantage of. You can buy shirts in bulk from thrift stores and sell them at olnine auctions for a good profit that still looks like a discounted sales price. Thrift stores will usually bargain down the price if you buy a box of 100 tees or so. $1 a piece is a decent price for 100 shirts. They just want to see some cash flow. Price per unit is not a a big concern for thrift stores.

Plus Size Fashion Tips

There are certain basic guidelines every women should observe when selecting clothing and accessories. You should first determine your basic body type and use this as a basis for making clothing choices. Just remember that these are general guidelines and not hard and fast rules. You must be the final judge of what looks best on you and also remember, that if a piece of clothing doesn't feel comfortable to you, then it doesn't matter how flattering or stylish it is!

Your first priority should be choosing clothing that is of high quality and is offered at a reasonable price. It's all about value. With these points in mind, below are several guidelines for selecting plus size clothing that will bring out the best in your individual body type:

1. Don't Let Clothing Hang Off Your Body

The entire point of new plus size clothing fashions today is the wide selection of great fitting styles for plus size women. Gone are the days of tent-like frocks and other unflattering garments. Of course, a lot depends on your size and body type, but you should be able to find clothing that flatters your figure without completely draping over you. Even a loose, flowing summer dress with short sleeves that reveals nicely tanned arms and well-turned ankles can be both extremely flattering and comfortable. Also consider loose tops such tunic tops.

2. Be Careful With Skin Tight Clothing

There's certainly no rule that says plus size women shouldn't wear tight clothing. It's really a matter of comfort -- even in petite sizes, skintight clothing can be uncomfortable. Spandex is a remarkable fabric and it is found in a lot of plus size clothing. A little give to a garment is a great thing. Ultimately it's up to you if you're comfortable going to the gym in Spandex tights or out to a club in a cat suit.

3. Consider High Waisted Dresses

A dress with a high waistline, sometimes referred to as an "empire waist", can greatly flatter your figure by making your waist appear much smaller. A wide range of dress styles from casual to formal are offered with empire waist lines. Decorative bodices and stripes below the bust line further accentuate the impression of a small waistline. They should be a part of every plus size women's wardrobe.

4. Be Careful With Swim Skirts

There are lots of great swimsuits to choose from in plus sizes. A common style in plus size swim wear is the swim skirt and swim dress. The swim skirt can draw attention away from your waist and rear, but this style also harkens back to swim fashions from the 1920s. Often times a slimming one-piece suit can work very well depending on your size and body type. Where swim skirts can be effective is in 2-piece suits or tankinis.

5. Consider Wraps

If your upper arms are not as firm as you'd like you may wish to consider wearing cover-ups. Wraps and cover-ups are also a great way for adding a touch of elegance to formal wear and gowns and will also provide warmth to your shoulders on cool evenings. Remember that long sleeves can be very sexy in plus sizes!

By keeping this short list of plus size fashion tips in mind you can put together an amazing wardrobe for all seasons and occasions.

Life and Lust in a Leather Skirt

Leather clothing is more popular today than ever before, especially for women. In every type of media, from magazines to movies and television, you'll see women in leather. From stylish office wear to casual outfits to hot sexy costumes, leather clothing can reflect so many moods. As women, we use clothing to make a statement, to show our style, to give a hint of how we feel about ourselves and the world around us.

We've all heard the saying,"Dress for success!" Well, success can mean many different things to women. Success can also mean different things at different times to the same woman. There are times we want to feel attractive, to stand out from the crowd, to say to the world, "Look at me!". There are times we want to show our independence and dance to to our own inner music. There are times we want to belong, to feel secure and safe in the arms of our lover. The clothing we choose to wear is a reflection of these and a hundred other moods we feel. Our emotions flow like a river through our lives. Sometimes calm and peaceful, sometimes wild and unrestrained. Clothing is an emotional choice. Fabrics, colors, textures, our choices are a snapshot of our interior thoughts and emotions at that moment.

Certain styles of clothing also have a image in society. For example, a leather motorcycle jacket conjures images of rebelliousness, freedom and individuality. Leather clothing also has an aura of sexiness and danger. Let's face it, we all like to be bad girls from time to time. And we know wearing a little leather mini skirt is going to get us the attention of all the men around!

Now guys, here's some food for thought. The presents you buy for your lady, say volumes to her, about the way you see her and feel about her. Buy her a body clinging pair of leather pants and she's going to KNOW you think she's hot! Then there is leather lingerie! Whether it's a leather corset, teddy or any other piece of leather lingerie, it speaks of your desire for her. You want her. You lust for her! Personally, being the one lusted for, is a delicious feeling! So remember guys, love her all the time, lust for her on cue, and buy her beautiful presents, and you'll be a keeper for sure!

One thing that has changed today is the variety of choices available in leather clothing. Today, leather comes in rainbow of colors, so don't just think "Black". There are also leather jackets, skirts and pants that are washable. Very convenient and you no longer have to pay that high cleaning bill! Today's leather clothing isn't stiff and bulky. Leather can be as soft as your lover's caress. Good quality leather is very comfortable to wear. So if you've been buying the cheapest leather clothing you can find and have been disappointed in the comfort and quality, maybe it's time to re-think. A good quality leather garment will last for many years. Pay a little more for quality leather clothing and you'll be much happier in the long run.

The 3 Most Commonly Used Fabrics in Designer Clothing

Designer apparel has become extremely popular over the past decade or so. It was always popular but recently we have seen an overwhelming rise in popularity from this industry. To get the best of the best in designer clothing, choose pieces that incorporate these 3 fabrics into your choices:
Silk
Silk has always been associated with luxury and wealth. There's something about silk that makes you feel important and when you wear an authentic silk piece, your confidence level goes up a couple of levels immediately. There's just something about the way the silk hugs your body that flatters every curve, regardless of your shape.
Silk is used for a variety of fashion related pieces. It can be used for skirts, dresses, blouses, scarves, pajamas and lingerie. There are a number of manufacturers who have taken full advantage of the benefits of silk. Some of the designers who have been recognized for creating unbelievable silk designs include Prada, Chanel and Roberto Cavalli. These world renowned designers offer only the best of the best when it comes to their designer clothing and their customers are always happy with their purchases.
Purchasing authentic silk items will benefit you in a number of ways. Not only will it look better because the quality is higher than other materials (or materials that are only 50% silk and 50% other materials) but it will also last longer. A true piece of silk is likely to last twice as long as the ?knock-off' materials. In addition, silk is said to be one of the most comfortable clothing fabrics on the market right now. The sleek, luxurious feel of silk on your body will outweigh the cost in a second. Now you can justify paying twice as much.
Satin
Satin, although usually classified in the same category as silk has a few very distinctive features. Silk is made from insect larvae and is made of small, fine threads. Satin is shinier than silk and usually incorporates some kind of silk fabric into it but has a dull back. Silk is shiny on both sides so you feel the silk against your skin. Satin is perfect for those who don't like the glossy finish against their body and prefer something a little softer. Generally, satin is slightly shinier, but for the most part, the two are hard to tell apart just from looking.
Like silk and cashmere, there are many designers who have decided to incorporate satin into their magnificent designs. Some of the most luxurious satin gowns have come from prestigious designers like Versace and Valentino. Unlike silk and cashmere, satin has become a very popular material in shoe design. World renowned footwear designers like Nine West have decided to use silk.
Cashmere
Cashmere is known for its long lasting comfort and unbelievably soft appearance. It's one of those materials that when you see someone wearing it, you just want to touch them because the material looks and feels so incredibly soft. Cashmere is one of the most popular materials in designer clothing because it provides so many benefits. Like silk and satin, cashmere is also long-lasting, comfortable and pleasing to the eye.
There are many designers who have taken full advantage of the popularity of cashmere. Some of the prestigious designers creating cashmere pieces include Kenneth Cole, Michael Kors and Christian Dior. These luxurious designers are definitely the ones to look for if you're shopping for high quality, stylish designer clothing.
The world of fashion can be a little undermining. Designers have clued into which materials are popular among consumers but realize that they can't sell their items for low cost if they're made from this authentic material. So here's a secret to help you out: Some designers advertise their items as cashmere when in fact they are only partially made of the material. This way, you think you're getting a deal because you can't believe you just bought a cashmere sweater for $29.99. Well let me tell you something ? nothing good comes for free. Look at the tags on these items and I guarantee you the product isn't 100 percent cashmere.

Plus Size Womens Clothing Sizes

The bane of women everywhere is the wild inconsistency of clothing sizes between stores and fashion designers. Unfortunately, things get even more confusing when dealing with plus sizes. The important thing to remember is a tape measure and the designer's sizing charts are your best friends.

Even though clothing sizes are not standardized, the actual measurements of your bust, waist, hips, and inseam are what matter for a comfortable and visually appealing fit.

"Missy", "XL", and "Woman's" Sizes

"Woman's" sizes start at around a 14W and are typically cut larger than Missy sizes. XL sizes are even more inconsistent, with actual measurements differing quite a bit between designers. The best advice is to carefully take your measurements and then compare them to the sizing charts for each designer.

Learn how to take measurements of your body

Refer to a good sizing guide for how to measure your bust, waist, hips, and inseam. When taking measurements, always be sure to keep the tape measure parallel to the floor. Measure your bust and hips at their widest point.

Be Aware of Differences Between Designers

As if there isn't enough confusion in the sizing of women's clothing, the designers sometimes impose their own unique vision upon sizing. Again, be sure to take careful measurements and then refer to the sizing charts for each designer you're interested in.

Speaking the Language of International Sizes

It should really come as no surprise that sizes need to be "translated" between many countries. A US size 12 is a 14 in the UK, a 15 in Japan, and a 46 in Italy! Don't worry though, just refer to the handy sizing charts available at all online retailers of plus size womens clothing and you'll be fine.

If in doubt, contact customer service!

The great thing about the online retailers of plus size womens clothing is the helpful customer support staff they provide to shoppers. Either email or call their support department to get help in answering your plus size women's clothing sizing questions.

Your Yoga clothing should give you room to manoeuvre because of all the different types of yoga moves performed which may entail twists, turns and stretching. By dressing in slack or baggy clothing you will be more content doing your yoga - stretchable elastic materials is also practical clothing for these exercises. Perspiration and how heavy you sweat needs taking into consideration when selecting your yoga clothing. Certain materials can make matters worse.

Think vacation when choosing garments - holiday clothes are ideally suited for yoga. We all relax on vacation and pack the right clothes for the trip so why not for the trip down to the local yoga club. Shorts and light tops are apt but if you prefer leotards or a swimming costume then that is fine along with tights or leggings.

If your choice of yoga clothing is stiff and tight fitting then this can hamper some of your yoga moves and poses. This can also have an affect on your concentration levels due to the stress of discomfort.

The ideal yoga clothing most suitable to wear when working on a routine in an air conditioned room is to wear long sleeves or elbow length. Air conditioned rooms can be a lot colder than you imagine so wrap up if your yoga exercise at the time is not a strenuous one.
In the cooler months Yoga clothing that is most popular is the track or jogging suit

Clothes will differ for different types of exercise. Take the Bikram Yoga which is widely known as hot yoga. It is an exercise that you would expect to wear shorts and light tops.
Your own personal taste and style is acceptable at all times - the only reason for this guidance checklist on yoga clothing is in your best interest. The main objective to directing you in dressing wisely is for comfort thus leaving you to enjoy your yoga routines.

Take time to enhance the dish so as to speak with added dressy bits and bobs. Colour can be added by wearing multi coloured wrist or headbands, even a bandana if preferred can spruce up any yoga clothing. How good is this Yoga lark where you dress down to dress up?

Why and Who Wears Islamic Clothing

The clothing of people is influenced by the climate, available materials, culture, traditions which include social status, group identity and religion. Modest Clothing for Muslim men and women varies with the culture they are from. There is no one style of clothing today. Islam calls people to be modest both in dress and behaviour. Islamic clothing for men and women reflects their belief in the values taught by Islam.

The colors and styles of clothing differ throughout the Muslim world. The main question put to Muslims in any part of the world is: "Why do muslims wear such distinct and modest clothing? . "Quran" the holy book of Muslims teaches its believers to "lower their gaze and be modest". Muslims believe that God has full wisdom and knows what is best for them.

Need for Dressing Modestly

1) Obedience to God
2) Being known for who you really are
3) Not being judged by your beauty or lack thereof
4) Being able to do business in an atmosphere of respect
5) Liberation
6) Comfort

Muslims dress in modest clothing, without attracting attention of others. For this reason, many Muslims choose dark and earth-tone colors such as black, green, blue, gray. Some colors are more common in certain parts of the world, based on local tradition.

Is This Dress Code Only For Women?
Dress code is not restricted only to woman, it is also to men. Islam teaches both men and women to be modest. It is generally understood that men must not expose their areas of body from navel to the knee. Men must not wear tight and see through clothes. The traditional clothing for men is long, flowing robes, or long tunics that fully cover the body. While Islam outlines a code of modesty, it does not command a particular style, color, or fabric. Although, to dress as the Prophet Muhammad and his companions did, is the most preferred method.

Wardrobe Planning Organized Style Saves You Time and Money

Do you have a closet full of clothes and nothing to wear? Do you shop without really knowing what your wardrobe needs? Do you buy gorgeous separates and never wear them because you don't know how to work them into a stylish outfit?

Impulse clothing shopping can cost you hundreds of dollars a year in wasted spending. And that doesn't even count the time wasted trying to find something to wear to business meetings or other events. But how can you put an end to it without buying an expensive closet organizer or hiring a personal stylist? Here are some steps to get you started.

1. Plan Your Outfits In Advance. Use plain old paper and pencil, or a free clothing planner, and start jotting down outfits for events you're likely to attend this year. Your list isn't going to be complete overnight. It'll take some time, but this is a starting point. It will help you determine what you need to buy and what you already own too many of. Once you're done, it will help you dress on auto-pilot and save you time every time you need to get dressed.

2. Try Everything On. Approach this mission in baby-steps. Dedicate just fifteen minutes a night. Trying things on is the only way to give them an honest appraisal. Each item in your closet has its own quirks. Maybe it doesn't look as good as it did a few years ago. Maybe the shoulder pads are no longer in style. Perhaps it needs to be tailored. A good tailor can shorten sleeves, lengthen hems, or otherwise add flattering darts to give your garments a better shape. The point here is to give each item in your closet a chance to justify itself. And don't get discouraged. It's the clothes auditioning here, not you.

3. Declutter Your Closet. It's hard to find outfits to wear when you can't see what you own. When clothing is so tightly packed that you can't take it off the hanger without knocking three other garments on the floor, it costs you time and money. Time, because it takes you longer to assemble an outfit. Money because you probably keep buying the same pair of pants over and over again, not realizing you have three new ones already tucked away in the back of your closet. It's time to purge. If a garment needs to go to the tailor, put it in a bag and deliver it to your car right now. Don't let it sit in your closet for another year. If a garment needs to be mended, put it in a basket by your sewing machine. If you're not going to mend it, throw it in the rag bag and be done with it. Also, keep your junk clothes to a minimum. Everybody needs an outfit to paint, to garden, or to clean the house. But if you were to stack up all the stained and threadbare clothing you've been hanging onto, it's probably a larger collection than the rest of your clothing combined. Pick out your favorite comfy, just-for-home, outfits and send the rest to the rag bag. These items are robbing you of space and self-image. Out they go.

4. Take Inventory. Using your list or clothing planner, you can now identify gaps in your wardrobe. Business women typically lack sufficient casual wear for weekend outings. Stay-at-home moms tend not to have formal or business attire. Young women often forget to buy clothes for weddings or formal events. Planning allows you to see what holes need to be filled when you go shopping, and take advantage of the sales. It will also let you see if you have items that can be sold or donated. Many women do a thriving business on Ebay selling clothes that are lightly used, or have never been worn at all. You too can turn your fashion mistakes into cash.

We've all seen those women who dress as if style comes to them effortlessly. Well, maybe it does and maybe it doesn't. But following these steps, you can look like they do, natural or not. Remember, planning ahead will save you money and give you time to devote to the other passions in your life. Because fashion is important, but it's not everything!

Must Have Clothing for Spring and Summer

Spring is in the air, and summer is just around the corner. It is time to update your wardrobe, and get some clothing that say spring. We have put together five must have spring and spring into summer clothing:

- Fun t-shirts. Nothing says spring and summer like fun, bright t-shirts. Pink and red t-shirts, with interesting sayings, flowers and embroidery say spring like nothing else. Get those fun t-shirts and start wearing them to get the spring to come sooner.

- A Spring Jacket. Everyone should have a cool spring jacket to wear. A jeans jacket is good and timeless. You can also get a fun corduroy jacket, or even a blazer.

Get something that is fun to wear and versatile at the same time. You may want to get a jacket that you can wear with jeans and with a fun summer dress.

- Fun Skirts. Springtime is not springtime, until you see everyone wearing colorful spring skirts. There are so many styles and so many colors that the fun spring skirts come in. We love fun skirts in many different colors, so pick the colors that work best for you and get yourself one or three skirts.

- Dresses. Just like with skirts, lots of women love wearing dresses in the spring and summer. Do you have a few dresses already? They are fun to wear, and are great for those warmer seasons.

- Lighter Pants, Capri and Shorts. We love jeans, we really really do. However, sometimes it is just too hot to wear jeans. And if it is, you have a few different options.

If you must wear pants, there are lighter pants, made from lighter materials than denim. You will not be as hot wearing them.

Capri, or shorter pants, became extremely popular a few years ago. They come in many different colors and lengths, and they are made from different materials. Pick up a few pairs of capris, they will become staples in your spring and summer wardrobe.

Plus Size Clothing Outrageous Wear

I have a question, and if anyone is able to answer it I would really appreciate it. I am confused about this whole plus size clothing thing on a couple different levels. First of all what chauvinist male came up with that name? Plus size just sounds so unflattering. Men don't have plus size clothing sections. No they just have bigger sizes. Or they can go to stores like Big and Tall. Just once I would like to see a plus sizes sign hanging over the men's section of the store.

Second exactly who and what determined what size constitutes a plus size? Does it vary from store to store? I honestly think someone just sat down one day and arbitrarily said anything over this size will be considered a plus size, and who cares about the women who have to shop in that section. I always thought the whole thing was a little humiliating. I mean most people are not proud of being on the larger side, but to have a whole different section of the store set aside with a big side hanging over it declaring you to be overweight must be humiliating.

The entire situation is only worsened by that fact that there seems to be a distinct lack of cute fashionable plus size clothing. So not only do you have to shop under a large sign declaring you to be overweight, but you also have to look over at the smaller section and realize how much cuter all those clothes are. Mostly it seems unfair.

Now don't get me wrong there are a few good stores that have nice plus size clothing. Lane Bryant is one for example that has some really nice stuff, however the majority of stuff I see out there looks at least 5 years old and not like something anyone would be rushing to buy.

Internet Marketing for Clothing Stores Online

Do you run an online clothing store? If you do, you know that the best way to make more money with the inventory that you have is by getting as many customers to the store as possible. Clothing is a seasonal business. People like to buy spring clothing in the spring and warm clothing in the winter, so you only have a short period of time during which you need to move your inventory.

So how can you sell the most clothing online in the shortest period of time? Use these tips to make more money with your online clothing store:

- Define the target market for the clothing that you sell. Sometimes the target market is more or less obvious. If you sell women's tops and skirts, your target market is most likely women.

Sometimes the target market is not as obvious. If you sell clothing for kids who are 5-10 years old, your target market is not the kids themselves, but rather their parents. The parents are the ones who are going to shop online and spend money on clothing that you sell.

If you sell shirts and pants for men, both men and women might be your target market. Men are likely to shop for clothing that you offer since it is designed for them. However, women in their lives are also likely to shop and purchase clothing for men, so women will shop at men's clothing stores as well.

- Show off the clothing in the best possible light. When people buy clothing, they really want to see how it looks; sometimes they even want to see how the clothes look on others. Make sure that you have high quality pictures of clothing on your web site.

- Provide as much information as possible about clothing. When people shop for clothing online they cannot try it on before buying. Therefore, they are looking for as much information about the clothing as possible.

Can the piece be laundered or is it dry clean only? What are all the measurements? What kind of material is the clothing made from?

By providing as much information as possible about the clothing on the web site, you will give you web site visitors more reasons to purchase what you have to offer.

- Optimize your clothing web site for search engines. When people are looking for clothing online, they are searching for them using search engines. If you optimize your web site for search engines, you will be able to get these people to your web site to buy the clothing that you are selling. Search engine optimization is the process of modifying web page content and meta-information to improve the search engine ranking of the page. Meta-information includes certain HTML tags (title, heading, emphasized text, keyword and description meta-tags), as well as the internal (links between pages on the same site) and external (links between pages on different sites) link structure of a web site.

Optimizing your web site helps you improve your search engine rankings and drive more traffic looking for clothing to your web site.

The Internet is a great place to sell clothing. By using the tips above you will be able to get more clients and sell more clothing online.

10 Tips for Shopping Online for Clothing for a safe and pleasant transaction

As many women would say, shopping for clothes can be lots of fun! We've all had our doses of retail therapy in the past and with the vast selection available online to us ladies, shopping for clothes on the Internet can be even more fun.

Shopping on the Internet however can be a tricky business, especially if we do not take our precautions and make sure everything is in order. One need not fear though! With a little care shopping online can be a breeze! This article will walk you through ten tips, which if followed correctly, should help make your online shopping experience a safe and satisfactory one!

1. Although shopping for clothes online is a fun experience, it might prove to be a little bit tricky at first because you cannot actually go into a changing room and try on the items before buying them! If you find yourself wanting to buy from a new store, one which you have never bought from before, you might be a little unsure about the size to choose. Most reputable online fashion store do have size guidelines which you should definitely consult to help you choose the right size; however what I suggest doing is the following. When buying items online from a new store take it easy: buy one item first! Once the item arrives you would have an idea whether you have made the right choice, or maybe you need a smaller or larger size. That one item will give you an idea of the sizing of the particular store, so after having 'tested' the sizing go ahead and buy more!

2. I like to describe the feeling I get of a website as the same feeling I get when I meet a new person. There is usually either good chemistry or otherwise. It's really the same with website and online stores. What kind of feeling do you get of a website? Does it look professionally done? Does the design and navigation make your online shopping experience easier or is it terribly difficult to find what you're looking for? Is there an 'About Us', or a 'Company Info' page? These elements usually give you a general feel for a website, and give you hints on whether to decide either to trust the website enough to purchase from it, or move on.

3. Whilst browsing around the website, look out for signs and logos which may indicate certificates of security and reliability which the website might hold. Common names to look out for are VeriSign and BBB.org (Better Business Bureau).

4. Before actually making the purchase take a note of the websites customer service email and/or telephone number. Making sure that you have somewhere to refer to queries to should you need to, before actually making the purchase, will help you put your mind at ease.

5. Check the store's privacy policy and customer service page before making the purchase. It is important that you are aware of the store's return policies, delivery charges and shipping times.

Plus Size Shopping Online

7 reasons why plus size women should consider shopping online for clothing and accessories

I am often surprised by people's reaction when I tell them that I bought my latest dress off the Internet. They cannot understand how I could take the 'risk' of buying something so personal online, without even touching or trying it on first. This is the most common feedback I get from many friends and relatives when they compliment me on my new outfit, ask me where I got it from and I tell them online!

The thing is, most of this feedback comes from people who are size 10 or less and who do not understand how much of a distressing experience clothes shopping can be for a lady who is size 20.

I remember when I was younger hating going shopping with cousins or friends. Most of the time I used to end up being their shopping assistant instead of their fellow shopper; not finding anything that I liked which was in my size, would usually leave me no other option. I could not understand why most stores could not open their eyes real wide and realise that most women are curvy! It felt (and still does feel) so unfair to me that most of the fashionable styles of clothing are not available for plus sized women.

My shopping experience changed from night to day when I discovered plus size clothing stores online. I could not believe the amount of stores available online for plus size women. Stores exclusively carrying plus size fashion; apparel and accessories that looked good and that was in my size. I was ecstatic at my discovery, this eased so many of my shopping problems.

I can now say that over the years the amount of plus size stores available online has grown tremendously, and the quality of fashion available has definitely improved. Plus size store online are now able to satisfy all tastes, occasions and sizes.

I have decided to share these thoughts with you to encourage fellow plus size women who may be looking for that special outfit, or who simply want to shop for more clothes, to consider the option of shopping online because, believe me, it will open many stylish doors for you!

Here follow my seven essentials reasons why I personally shop online for most of my clothes and why I am recommending online shopping to all plus size women.

1. Size availability
Finally you no longer have to worry about whether stores carry the item you like in your size, because plus size stores online cater exclusively to plus size women's needs. That is, they usually carry items from size 12 or 14 to size 48 and above! Most stores have their own size ranges, as some may stop at size 34 for instance while others may carry items up to size 50. This usually varies on a store by store basis.

2. Endless choice of styles
When you are out and about shopping in the usual stores, you are rather limited to the styles of clothing available at one store. Some stores may focus on formal wear rather than casual, and some may not carry swimwear or lingerie for instance. This inconvenience does not exist online. Why? Most plus size clothing stores online carry a wide variety of styles. Plus, it is easy for you whilst you are shopping around online, to switch from one store to the other if you are looking for a different style.

3. Ease of shopping
I don't know about you but shopping is one tiring chore; walking around big stores, out of this one and into the other. By the end of the day your feet will be aching; makes you wonder why you go into all their trouble in the first place! Shopping around on the Internet just to see what's in stock, what's in fashion and what the price ranges are, can be done at just the click of a mouse. You can tirelessly click your way from store to store.

4. Greater selection
When shopping online for clothes I usually find that I am open to a more vast selection of items than when I'm otherwise shopping in usual stores. A store's web-site usually lists all the items available within that particular store, so you can view everything online. The fashion available to plus size women online from the various stores available is simply endless; you will find stores to suit every taste, age and size. You will find the right store for you!

5. Save those pennies
Looking for the best priced item is much easier online. Imagine you have found an item that you would like to buy; you could easily make a note of it by book-marking the page, and before actually buying that item you can browse around the other plus size clothing stores to check whether they carry the same or similar items at a cheaper price. There are also a lot of promotions and sales going on at online plus size stores. Some stores may choose to keep you updated to their promotions by emailing you monthly newsletters, which will keep you up to date with money saving deals, coupons available and discounts.

6. Friendlier shopping experience
I don't know about you but one thing I really hate is the nasty attitude and looks I get sometimes from shopping assistants when they tell you, "Sorry we do not carry that in your size!" Seems to me like they need some chocolate in their system! You will definitely not get any of that from most plus size stores online, as they understand the needs of big beautiful women and the friendly customer service reps are usually plus size ladies themselves.

7. Convenient!
This is definitely my favourite perk of shopping online. It is simply convenient! You can shop whenever you what, at what time you want and you can even shop in your pyjamas! You have ample of time to think about your purchase, look over the items you want to buy over and over until you make you final decision. It is just all about you and your time.

Overall shopping online is much more of a pleasant experience. Personally I shop online for a wide range of stuff, due to time constraints and everyday life; however even if I had all the time in the world I would still opt for shopping online when looking for new clothes and accessories as it is much more of a satisfying experience. I recommend online shopping at plus size fashion stores to all the big beautiful women who have trouble finding outfits they really like and which fit them well. The Internet will make you love shopping and your figure!
